Caladan Establishing Shot by k04sk Caladan Establishing Shot by k04sk
Here is my iteration on the establishing shot. I did a bunch of crappy sketches and paintings and this was the one I came to . Again sorry for the crappy post last week :) . I will try to redesign my far out shot along with my up-close shot

I like to be there. Very inviting mood n design.

Suggestion: if there are some blur building at the back (left side) will gave me more room for imagination. haha. Feel like there is a town or something. But I don't know. maybe this is a standalone building in the story.. Aiight.

Do you like use the circle marquee or the pen tool to deslect areas so you paint smooth lines or do you free hand it?

i actually don't know how to use the pen tool to select areas , i will look into now tho lol , but I just use the free hand lasso tool if I need to make something look sharp ( we are talking photoshop right?) if so yeah lasso tool is your friend , totally spam it! lol.

yeah i used the lasso tool , so i guess its free handed since im not using the polygonal lasso tool . i lasso the shape i want then i paint inside of it. Its a pretty big file so i can get pretty crisp with my shapes
