Some other stuff I did for Chaotic. I don't really like it , but I thought I post it any way. But we keep learning and keep moving forward.

ah cool! I've only seen it a couple times, but this definitely looked like it; a lone creature in a fantasy setting waiting for his opponent haha.

You know ,i do think there is high potential with this drawing. They should have used it .Just by looking at it one can easily imagine what happenend before and after the drawing time frame because it does triggered the imagination swhich make's it a good drawing.I am not an artist myself so i have no idea how to judge an art piece but this one made me go straight in imagination land ! ;O)

I do like the palette and scale of the piece. Tis a good post regardless :] How much time do you usually put into a piece like this?

ummmm honestly it depends , because i work full time at crazy pixel its hard to say. Total I would say like 3 hours maybe less. But it doesn't really count the time of gathering reference , and also doing little sketches. So I say its a work days worth of work which rather slow to me. Since like badass artists can pump 5 paintings a day lol

I know what ya mean. I also feel slow. I was having a conversation with someone at work today about this and he made an interesting point. Saying a lot of people sacrifice a better design for speed and the initial payoff from a viewer after telling someone it was an hour job, and seeing them freak out at it. When realistically to do something at a real high quality level takes time no matter who you are. I wouldn't worry about your speed, I try not to. BUT I agree with you at the same time, I am also striving to be faster. Makes arting more convenient if you can crank something out at lunch. haha

i totally agree , i believe its about making good consistent art. But doing it right each time you will naturally get faster. So I guess for me I am still finding myself and my style. But I would like to be able to create consistent quality art faster than what I am doing now. But yes there are no shortcuts , just plain hard work! I used to do lunch painting as well lol. I should get back into it. But consistency is my biggest thing. To be able to reach a new level and do it every time
